I have been taking Simvastatin for almost 10 years. I am now menopausal and recently for a few months now experienced stiffness and pain on my hands continues throughout the day. Sometimes on my legs and ankles. Iadfter several blood test and rheumatoid specialist said i don’t have rheumatoid arthritis, i was referred back to my primary and she told me there’s no test for decrease output. it most likely the food i eat. Granted, i always have to watch what i eat especially now, i don’t want to take another medication, without finding out why and if decrease output of uric acid is the reason for increase uric acid.
