I was lactose intolerant before I started on Lisinopril and amlodipane. From the very begining those meds have caused lots of intestinal movement and flatlulance (gas). I told my physician about my lactose intolerance so he got me lisinopril with "no lactose" listed on the bottle. I keep wondering about the "gas" as it happens every time and the odor is most horrible. I even hate to go out in public because of the odor. Is there such a pill that is lactose free, and if so I would like to know which company makes those lactose free meds. Thanks
My daughter is lactose intolerant. I've noticed that some of the medications prescribed to her contain lactose. I'm taking her off all meds but will continue giving her Miralax if I can be sure it doesn't contain lactose. It's not listed on the ingredients but I have read different info on whether or not it may contain lactose

Eureka! How affirming to know there are other people like me who have noticed the correlation between some forms of Toprol and dairy! Wish the FDA would force labeling for what's in our meds. Can't wait to learn more.
Discovered lactose intolerance about 15 years ago at age 60 (after working in the dairy industry for 30 years). Lactaide type pills (9000 units) seemed to give good relief. Now at age 75 it seems to be getting worse . . . and am finding it seems to be caused by lactose filler in meds I've been taking for years. Strange?
