I'd be very grateful if anyone could help me find explanations / descriptions / summaries of overstimulating sensory effects in the frontotemporal dementia patient. I've been researching online but have seen nothing pertaining to FTD, though there are numerous examples of flooding in ADHD and Asberger's. Thanks for any advice / direction / examples you can provide.
My husband is in the early stages of what is probably Lewy Body Dementia (he has had REM sleep disorder for several years and is starting to show Parkinsonian type muscle tremors, trouble swallowing, etc.). There are interesting studies out there about the potential mitigative impacts of Metformin on Parkinson's, but I can't find much of anything on Metformin and LBD. I'd love to connect with people who are also exploring these possibilities.

My husband was diagnosed with vascular dementia. He is now in the hospital for breathing troubles. He also has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which is a lung disease; however, his pulmonary doctor has told him his lungs are fine. His chest X-ray is fine. It is hard to see him so uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this problem? Thank you!
