I was talking cinnamon and neuronin. I ended up having no neuronin in my system. I was in serious pain. I stopped taking the cinnamon and I have been feeling better. I had to start at the lowest dose. I was taking 800mg 3x a day. I am now taking 300mg 3x day. It's helping but it doesn't get rid of the pain completely. While I wait for the neuronin to get to a theraputic level, I'm in misery.
I have been having nose bleeds for about a month on and off. Last night; a friend told me that cinnamon could be causing it. I texted my son and asked him to look it up. Not only was that true, but it can cause kidney problems as well. I am going to a specialist this afternoon; an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. I will see if he can help me. I even had a nose bleed one morning before I woke up and I woke up with blood all over my pillow case. It is awful, and it just has to stop. It is stopping me from going places and ruining a lot of days.
Off and on for seven years my EKGs were showing abnormal if I was scheduled for a surgery or check-up. I ate a cherry pie covered with cinnamon after my lunch at McDonalds one day and returned to work with a really abnormal heartbeat and really short of breath. At that time I did not know that Cinnamon was giving me problems. I had just been to my doctors office and had an abnormal EKG. I was so short of breath that I talked with one of the doctors that worked down the hall from me. He said with the abnormal EKG and abnormal heartbeats that I should go to the emergency room. After the ER did my EKG, they came running with aspirin and oxygen thinking I was having a heart attack. They kept me overnight and did a stress test and Echo of the heart and both tests were negative. A few days later I was eating a piece of pumpkin pie and the abnormal heartbeats returned with the shortness of breath. I tied the 2 times that I had had cinnamon in my diet and I lived on Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal for years. I stopped cinnamon totally at this point in 2010 and I have not had another abnormal EKG or abnormal heartbeat since. A few years ago I had a heart cath done and it was negative so I know that the cinnamon was what was causing my reactions with my heart symptoms.
