Defitelio and Prevymis drug interactions - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data
Summary:
Drug interactions are reported among people who take Defitelio (defibrotide sodium) and Prevymis (letermovir). Common drug interactions include abdominal pain among females and acute myeloid leukaemia among males.
The phase IV clinical study analyzes what interactions people have when they take Defitelio and Prevymis. It is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 24 people who take the same drugs from the FDA, and is updated regularly.
What is Defitelio?
Defitelio has active ingredients of defibrotide sodium. eHealthMe is studying from 4,343 Defitelio users. Check the latest studies of Defitelio.
What is Prevymis?
Prevymis has active ingredients of letermovir. eHealthMe is studying from 1,328 Prevymis users. Check the latest studies of Prevymis.
24 people who take Defitelio and Prevymis together, and have interactions are studied.

What are the common drug interactions of Defitelio and Prevymis, by gender? *:
female:
- Abdominal pain
- Acute respiratory distress syndrome
- Death
male:
- Acute myeloid leukaemia (acute cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal myeloblasts)
- Cerebral haemorrhage (bleeding within the brain)
- Chronic kidney disease
- Cystitis haemorrhagic (blood in the urine and painful voiding)
- Drug ineffective
- Hypotension (abnormally low blood pressure)
- Venoocclusive liver disease (small veins in the liver are obstructed)
- Adult t-cell lymphoma/leukaemia (cancer of the immune system's own t-cells)
- Pulmonary alveolar haemorrhage (acute bleeding)
- Respiratory failure (inadequate gas exchange by the respiratory system)
What are the common drug interactions of Defitelio and Prevymis, by age (0-1 to 60+)? *:

The study uses data from the FDA. It is based on defibrotide sodium and letermovir (the active ingredients of Defitelio and Prevymis, respectively), and Defitelio and Prevymis (the brand names). Other drugs that have the same active ingredients (e.g. generic drugs) are not considered. Dosage of drugs is not considered in the study.
