Tessalon and Neosporin drug interactions - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data
Summary:
Drug interactions are reported among people who take Tessalon (benzonatate) and Neosporin (neomycin sulfate; polymyxin b sulfate). Common drug interactions include arthropathy among females and dehydration among males.
The phase IV clinical study analyzes what interactions people have when they take Tessalon and Neosporin. It is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 15 people who take the same drugs from the FDA, and is updated regularly.
What is Tessalon?
Tessalon has active ingredients of benzonatate. It is often used in cough. eHealthMe is studying from 6,493 Tessalon users. Check the latest studies of Tessalon.
What is Neosporin?
Neosporin has active ingredients of neomycin sulfate; polymyxin b sulfate. eHealthMe is studying from 954 Neosporin users. Check the latest studies of Neosporin.
15 people who take Tessalon and Neosporin together, and have interactions are studied.

The study uses data from the FDA. It is based on benzonatate and neomycin sulfate; polymyxin b sulfate (the active ingredients of Tessalon and Neosporin, respectively), and Tessalon and Neosporin (the brand names). Other drugs that have the same active ingredients (e.g. generic drugs) are not considered. Dosage of drugs is not considered in the study.
