I attempted to take Doxycycline for a secondary infection. I am very allergic and have allergies to sulfites, sulfates, sulfa drugs. I found that one of the warnings on Doxycycline was if you are allergic to sulfites or have asthma, not to take the drug. That was after I began getting extremely ill, not able to breath, tightness in chest, throat swelling, extremely nauseated, dizzy. I felt like I had been poisoned and I was on my way out. I began reading about side effects and warnings and discovered the above. Any advise from anyone would be helpful. Thank you
Kathy (72)Got a stent in September. Was prescribed clopidigrel, Lipitor and lisinopril. I think I have had a poisonous reaction to lisinopril that almost finished me off in November/2015. Massive anaphylactic type reaction - 911 to ER. 2 days in hospital. Waves of milder bouts every other day for a week so far... nausea, diarrhea, lost 8 pounds. Started a water flush (w electrolites) and it seems to be calming down, can eat oatmeal now. Has anyone else had these symptoms? What else can I do to help my body recover? Can this damage my organs? Need advice. 8)
