Escitalopram and Telmisartan drug interactions - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data
Summary:
Drug interactions are reported among people who take Escitalopram (escitalopram oxalate) and Telmisartan (telmisartan). Common drug interactions include confusional state among females and diarrhoea among males.
The phase IV clinical study analyzes what interactions people have when they take Escitalopram and Telmisartan. It is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 389 people who take the same drugs from the FDA, and is updated regularly.
What is Escitalopram?
Escitalopram has active ingredients of escitalopram oxalate. It is often used in depression. eHealthMe is studying from 78,080 Escitalopram users. Check the latest studies of Escitalopram.
What is Telmisartan?
Telmisartan has active ingredients of telmisartan. It is often used in high blood pressure. eHealthMe is studying from 9,163 Telmisartan users. Check the latest studies of Telmisartan.
389 people who take Escitalopram and Telmisartan together, and have interactions are studied.

How the study uses the data?
The study uses data from the FDA. It is based on escitalopram oxalate and telmisartan (the active ingredients of Escitalopram and Telmisartan, respectively), and Escitalopram and Telmisartan (the brand names). Other drugs that have the same active ingredients (e.g. generic drugs) are not considered. Dosage of drugs is not considered in the study.
How to use the study?
DO NOT STOP MEDICATIONS without first consulting your doctor. If there are any serious or long term adverse effects discovered in the study, discuss the study with your doctor to ensure that proper medication management will be in place if applicable.
