Lac-hydrin and Zoloft drug interactions - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data
Summary:
Drug interactions are reported among people who take Lac-hydrin (ammonium lactate) and Zoloft (sertraline hydrochloride). Common drug interactions include asthma among females and premature baby among males.
The phase IV clinical study analyzes what interactions people have when they take Lac-hydrin and Zoloft. It is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 30 people who take the same drugs from the FDA, and is updated regularly.
What is Lac-hydrin?
Lac-hydrin has active ingredients of ammonium lactate. eHealthMe is studying from 534 Lac-hydrin users. Check the latest studies of Lac-hydrin.
What is Zoloft?
Zoloft has active ingredients of sertraline hydrochloride. It is often used in depression. eHealthMe is studying from 138,798 Zoloft users. Check the latest studies of Zoloft.
30 people who take Lac-hydrin and Zoloft together, and have interactions are studied.

- Drug ineffective
male:
- Premature baby
- Tricuspid valve incompetence (inefficient heart valve)
- Abdominal pain upper
- Chronic kidney disease
- Drug ineffective
- Gastrooesophageal reflux disease (stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the oesophagus)
- Hyperparathyroidism secondary (an abnormally high concentration of parathyroid hormone in the blood, resulting in weakening of the bones through loss of calcium-secondary)
- Nausea (feeling of having an urge to vomit)
- Nephrogenic anaemia (anaemia due to kidney disease)
- Renal failure (kidney dysfunction)

How the study uses the data?
The study uses data from the FDA. It is based on ammonium lactate and sertraline hydrochloride (the active ingredients of Lac-hydrin and Zoloft, respectively), and Lac-hydrin and Zoloft (the brand names). Other drugs that have the same active ingredients (e.g. generic drugs) are not considered. Dosage of drugs is not considered in the study.
How to use the study?
DO NOT STOP MEDICATIONS without first consulting your doctor. If there are any serious or long term adverse effects discovered in the study, discuss the study with your doctor to ensure that proper medication management will be in place if applicable.
