Hi, Where could I find more information on this? My mom is taking Jakafi and Epstein-barr appeared. When she stops them the white blood cells go down and when she starts the pill again the virus looks like that 'wakes up' Thanks Katerina

Doctor wants to start jakafi? Want to know all about it first. He also wants a bone marrow biopsy . I have Polycythemia 30 years with gout and enlarged spleen with phlebotomy only 12 to 15 times a year for 30 years.
Hello. I took Jakafi from June 10' 2015 thru March 2016. I took 5mg per day until I was in the ER with heart failure. No cause could be found for my heart failure....I had heart cath; arteries are clear, no reason for failure. I need to restart Jakafi for Myelofibrosis per my oncologist, but she and my cardiologist are concerned that Jakafi may have caused my heart failure. Can this group advise me?
I only get purpura on my forearms. I have noticed it is less active in the winter time which suggest it may have to do with exposure to sunlight. It is now mid-July and the purpura spots on my left arm are huge. I have switched to long-sleeved shirts to see if my theory is correct and that the purpura will diminish because of less exposure to light.
