I want to start taking tumeric for my extreme joint pain, but I'm worried I might experience a dangerous drop in blood sugar since I also take metformin. Metformin has worked well for me, keeping my a1c at about 5.8. My joint pain is pretty bad and has been extremely painful lately. Does anyone know how I might manage taking metformin & tumeric without taking a risk of my blood sugar getting too low? Anyone who has had experience with taking these together, how did you do it and did you get low blood sugar, how did you handle it.?
HI my name is Deb. i just turned 50 in july and have been taking Tegretol since age 9 for Epilepsy. I was just diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis and need a total hip replacement much to the surprise of myself and my doctor. After reading about osteoarthritis on the Internet is am thinking that there may be a link between the long term tegretol use and the osteoarthritis. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hello everyone 😷! New Mexico Norm here . Found this site while on one of my internet explorations. Often thought I needed a way to vent, ask questions (other than a physician) and feel as though there may be a way to get some comfort from others experiences and maybe vice versa. We'll see. I'll start by saying that if you feel that I can offer any experience that may be of assistance ask away. I'm an open book per se.
After the birth of my only child at age 44 my doctor gave me depo provera injection because he highly recommended it. At "my age" he didnt want me to get pregnant again. that was in 2007 and until the injection was pulled from the market, with no explanation. I then developed a osteoarthritis in my knees which is rapidly moving and I am also crippled. I used to love walking, hiking and dog walking I can no longer do so. It came on suddenly and I couldnt figure out why and what I could have done. I have an identical twin sister and she has no issues, but she never had the depo provera injection. I am mainly interested in finding more than a support group; I am in search of a lawsuit against the manufacturers of depo provera. Thank you for all your help.
Hello, I found this group while researching side effects of Levaquin. I started taking Levaquin and Cipro in 1999-2010. It wasn't until 2014 when I realized several issues I'd been dealing with were from taking these medications, who would have known or considered these meds to be the root cause of my pain, which is debilitating.
I suffer from itchy skin I wasn't sure if it was from the Osteo arthritis or porosis as I have both It keeps me awake and is more annoying than the pain. Thinking it might be the Osteo causing it I googled it. Sometimes rubbing lemon juice on my itchy skin helps sometimes I just have to wait until it calms down . For some reason between 2 am to 4 am is a bad time. The itching hours I guess
