Benicar and Prasugrel hydrochloride drug interactions - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data
Summary:
Drug interactions are reported among people who take Benicar (olmesartan medoxomil) and Prasugrel hydrochloride (prasugrel hydrochloride). Common drug interactions include anaemia among females and gastrointestinal haemorrhage among males.
The phase IV clinical study analyzes what interactions people have when they take Benicar and Prasugrel hydrochloride. It is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 20 people who take the same drugs from the FDA, and is updated regularly.
What is Benicar?
Benicar has active ingredients of olmesartan medoxomil. It is often used in high blood pressure. eHealthMe is studying from 36,002 Benicar users. Check the latest studies of Benicar.
What is Prasugrel hydrochloride?
Prasugrel hydrochloride has active ingredients of prasugrel hydrochloride. eHealthMe is studying from 2,126 Prasugrel hydrochloride users. Check the latest studies of Prasugrel hydrochloride.
20 people who take Benicar and Prasugrel hydrochloride together, and have interactions are studied.

- Non-cardiac chest pain
- Syncope (loss of consciousness with an inability to maintain postural tone)
- Haemoglobin decreased
- Atrial fibrillation (fibrillation of the muscles of the atria of the heart)
male:
- Gastrointestinal haemorrhage (bleeding gastrointestinal tract)
- Labyrinthitis (inflammation of the labyrinth or inner ear)
- Flatulence (flatus expelled through the anus)
- Myocardial infarction (destruction of heart tissue resulting from obstruction of the blood supply to the heart muscle)
- Pulmonary oedema (fluid accumulation in the lungs)
- Orthostatic hypotension (a medical condition consisting of a sudden decrease in blood pressure when a person stands up)
- Transient ischaemic attack (a transient episode of neurologic dysfunction caused by ischemia (loss of blood flow))
- Urinary tract infection
- Abdominal distension
- Angina pectoris (chest pain due to ischemia of the heart muscle)
