In the study were the two medications taken together at the same time (were they swallowed together?) or were they alternated. For example, did the subjects actually swallow the two pills together or were they alternated having the Flexeril taken and then 4 hours later the Norflex was taken?
Any guesses on what I have? Drs are stumped. I have long thoracic neuropathy which causes paralysis and of muscles under scapula and shoulder, but I also have, ringing in ears, scalp pain and nerve pain in face, severe muscle tightening which creates pain in neck and shoulders, and an Inability to think or talk straight on some days. I have a numb tongue and keep losing weight- only 117 at 5'8". Was a very active and sparky 53 year old English teacher 4 1/2 months ago when pain hit me in right shoulder and has become disabling. Had to go on medical leave and then lost gallbladder. Been tested for all autoimmune diseases and arthritis conditions and proteins, blood and inflammation in normal range. Had MRIs on neck, shoulder and brachial which shows frozen shoulder and atrophy under scapula, nerve firing slightly. Had EMG and MRI on shoulder, neck and brachial plexus which confirms Long Thoracic Neuropathy but not why my ears are ringing and scalp pain and numb face. I've been on 150 mg of Lyrica and now have to go off because insurance won't pay. Dr wants me to try Cymbalta. Any thoughts?
Hey guys. I recently developed chest pain with every heart beat after taking Flexeril. I was wondering how long this will last. It has already been three days. Any comments would be much appreciated!!! Thanks in advance! Edit: It has been almost two weeks now and I am still having chest pains from Flexirol, although they have decreased since the beginning. Is this common for those of you that have had chest pains from taking Flexirol?

Hi, my name is Mary, I am 53 yr old white female originally from midwest. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease at 20 yeears old. Fibromyalgia came along at about 50 years of age and then RA right after that! Right now all I do is survive day to day. I can't quit my job b/c my job provides the healthcare to my family. I have a very sedentary job but mentally exhausting. Difficult since I am never rested.
I've been taking flexeril nightly for about six months. My husband says I talk every night, and he usually considers it sexual in nature. So much so, he is convinced I am having multiple affairs. It's ruining my marriage. I take a small dose (5mg) of it every night along with 100 mg of gabapentin. I do this because I have serious, advanced TMJ and wanted a non-narcotic solution. I was taking opioids daily before my doc and I came up with this combo that keeps my jaw muscles relaxed so I don't clench while sleeping and keeps the nerve pain in my face quiet so it doesn't flare up into a migraine. I thought this was the answer to my prayers. My husband finally confronted me about this lude talking - after several months of enduring it. He says ear plugs don't work. It took me quite a bit of searching to find out which of my medications might be causing this and I am relieved to have found this group and info. Maybe now he will stop waking me in the morning yelling at me, telling me that he knows I am cheating on him with multiple people. This is horrible and as I already suffer from depression and anxiety - I hardly need more stress. Anything you all could share with me to help me get through this would be so helpful. I am at my wits end.
Two months ago, my physician switched me from Methadone to MS Contin for pain related to fibromylgia. I was on the Methadone for 12 years. Now I am not getting the pain relief like I was when I was on Methadone, but he can't switch me back due to his clinic's policy ban on methadone. I have been seeing this physician for over 8 years, and due to the myriad conditions and symptoms I have, I don't want to change physicians/clinics and start all over again. I didn't think there was much difference between the two drugs but my physician said it as to do with "shelf life" and possibility of death due to breathing problems associated with Methadone.
I take Flexeril 10mg for several years but it has been the last two years that some difficulty swallowing has begun....I also have severe cervical spinal stenosis as well as severe cervical bone spurs, arthritis of cervical spine and hands along with Fibromyalgia. Long list when I write it all down..This began at age 50 and fast forward to now age 60.
