It is based on menthol; methyl salicylate and ibuprofen (the active ingredients of Salonpas and Ibuprofen, respectively), and Salonpas and Ibuprofen (the brand names). Other drugs that have the same active ingredients (e.g. generic drugs) are not considered. Dosage of drugs is not considered in the study.
