I have been taken 6mg of Jantoven daily since January 2012. For the past three years or longer I have complained to my doctors of joint and bone pain especially back pain. This past year my back and hands have been very bad. My hands swell and look disfigured. I suffer from Polycythemia Vera. In addition to Jantoven I take Jakafi (chemo) aspirin and pain meds daily. My pain has been getting worse. I have pain in my back, hands, toes, bones in the top of my feet and my forearm and shoulders. I gets so bad at times that I'm ready to stop all meds but I'm not sure if the meds are the problem. What I do know is I was a builder for 30+ years. I was very strong and never had none or any body pain. I have complained to my doctors and I never get an answer as to what is causing the pains I suffer. I went to a specialist and rheumatoid arthritis was ruled out. I just wanted to share my story because I'm concerned that the pain is being caused by the Jantoven.
